Ouch!

Well, something’s happening. They’re not too regular yet, but they hurt. They’re coming on regularly, but vary in length and intensity.

And they could still go away entirely. I’ve never done this before, so I have no idea. I’ve always been induced.

I’m hoping I can get some sleep tonight before and in case things pick up.

Nope, not yet

My water wasn’t broke, so don’t ask ME what was leaking. Anyway, they kept me there for three hours because Junior wouldn’t settle down long enough to give them a baseline heart rate reading. While I was there, I was contracting pretty regularly, although not very strong. I am at my M-I-L’s right now, and I’m having some pretty painful contractions, much more ouchy than anything I’ve had yet. I’m going to start timing them when I’m done here.

Sooooo, nothing yet, but it’s possible I’m starting early labor now. The nurse said the same thing. My doctor will sign in at 7am tomorrow, so if I labor tonight, and go tomorrow, that’d be ducky with me.

Thanks for the well wishes. Hee hee. This is kind of fun, no?

Baby maybe?

We think my water may have broke this afternoon. It’s very little wetness, unlike the two other times my water has broke, but since I tested positive for Strep B (dangit), I’m going in to have it checked. If it’s broke, they’ll treat me with antibiotics, and then we’ll fight as to whether or not they’re going to make me stay. If it isn’t broke, we’ll come home and I’ll post and tell you.

Since I’m not contracting yet, I figure I’m going to have to be induced again. Which annoys me to no end. So Nate is putting together a comprehensive collection of movies to take along. Dangit dangit dangit.

I really don’t know what to hope for. Broken water, induction, and a boring night of contractions and movies? Or water NOT broke, and continued waiting and discomfort?

Honestly, I don’t know. It’d sure be convenient right now, in that childcare for the girls is easily arranged, but I’d always rather be in labor during the day.
