Spinning laceweight

I have some dyed mohair locks from years back. I’m carding rolags and drafting them into roving. This wheel spins so fast and smooth and easy, it almost spins itself. If it were a nice top without all the nupps and vm from matted locks, I’m pretty sure it WOULD spin itself!

I have 4.5 ounces. If I can spin it all, I should have a zillion yards of pretty mohair lace weight. Kind of excited.

Welcome back to the wonderful world of sharing good news with your invisible friends! I was just thinking about you the other day, wondering how the music is going, and if you are still running! Good to hear from you! Jan

Awww, thx! I haven’t been able to run since Nate started an office job in October, but I started lifting weights (until I hurt my shoulder) and I still use the elliptical. I’ll probably start running over summer break when the older kids are home, or next school year when Max will be in school.

I haven’t done much with music other than playing casually over the holidays because I started going to school! My first college experience and it’s busy, busy! I’m going for an Associates Degree in Auto Mechanics. I’m in my second semester right now. 3 classes per week. That’s the quick update!
