Busy, busy

Today was the first day of five weeks of daily swim lessons for the girls. They have had almost no water experience their entire lives, and I thought it was time they learned. Plus, Olivia’s boredom and restlessness had already set in.

It was cute. Veronica is very nervous in the water, and even though she is signed up for a “class”, she’s the only one in it, so she was 1 on 1 with the instructor, a cuteish, curly haired kid that obviously lifts weights. She was clinging to him for her life, and he very politely asked her to “please stop pulling (his) hair.” By the end, she was doing better, but I’m hoping she starts enjoying herself so this doesn’t end up being expensive, parent-afflicted torture for her.

The other two did well in their class.

We were going to go to another yarn store today after lessons to look for stocking and chemo cap yarn, but I pushed that off ’til tomorrow so I could do other important things like lunch, laundry, and kitchen cleaning. I hope to have something yummy to show you from the yarn store after tomorrow.
