“This is the back that never ends……

Yes it goes on and on my friend…..” Anyone know what song I’m trying to reference here? I wish my keyboard had little music notes. Here’s a hint.

I’m really surprised at how long this sweater is taking. I worked on it a lot over the weekend, and I’m still not done with the back piece yet. BUT, I am finally to the point where I put the center stitches on a holder and work the shoulder decreases, and eventually (get ready for it) BIND OFF!!!! That will be a happy day.

I think that once I’m finished with the back, I’m going to start a sleeve, just for something different.

In other news, Wendy is co-hosting a knit along for Lara, a beautiful sweater in the new Debbie Bliss book.

I really like this sweater. I could totally see myself in it, plus, it looks like it is fastened with a brooch. Cool. I like brooches, but have a difficult time finding good ways to use them. It starts October 1st, and I am thinking about it. I’m going to try to hunt myself down a copy of the book. I really like this one too.

So do the Lara, maybe we should join the knitalong 😉

I really like the second Debbie Bliss sweater you posted too. It looks loose and comfortable, but still feminine.

“…..some people started singing it, not knowing what it was, and they’ll continue singing it forever, just because this is the song that never ends……..” Ooooo, now it’s stuck in my head and it’s all your fault! LOL

The back of the sweater looks great!
I love Lara too…I just might have to join yet another knit along 🙂

HA! Well, if it makes you feel any better, reading your comment has got it stuck back in MY head, so what goes around really does come around. And yes, that was a bad pun.

I’m loving what I’m seeing of that Debbie Bliss book. I haven’t seen it in person yet, but I saw another sweater picture on the internet from the book that is gorgeous.

I went to Weaving Works to check out the book and they don’t have it yet. 🙁 I loved, loved, loved the Cotton Angora book and knit, oh, about half a million sweaters from it. I’m not as crazy about the Silk Alpaca photos I’m seeing online. Lara looks a lot like one of the kid sweaters in the Cotton Angora book. It’s not quite ringing my bell. I really like Paula. http://www.royalyarns.com/ptrn/DBS/DebbieBlissYarnDebbieBliss/paula.html Have you seen the yarn requirements on these patterns? Mama Mia!
