Health Group- Year 5, week 22

Hey all. It’s a gloriously dark and wet fall day here in the Pacific Northwest. For some reason, I’m feeling chipper though my ring is not found.

I had a pretty good week. I did a few of my core strengthening exercises once, and I am extremely weak. That’s probably why I keep hurting my back, which happened again this week. So I’m going to focus on that.

I’ve done great with the “no sugar” thing this week. It hasn’t even been hard. I call that prayers answered, no question. I’ve been drinking a lot of water like I’m supposed to, and I’ve been making a considerable effort to get a healthy breakfast. Usually, I have two fried eggs on one piece of wheat toast with a smidge of butter. It holds me well ’til lunch. I had a breakfast shake twice this week for breakfast, but that has more sugar in it with the soymilk and yogurt, so I’m trying to minimize those.

The only hard thing has been that with the change in seasons and weather, I’m dying for some apple crisp. But I’m resisting.

How was your week?

What were you doing before you went to bed? Did you reach into a dresser to get clothes for the kids? Did you reach into their pockets to clean them out for laundry day?

    -Your coat pocket
    -Your gloves
-The freezer, if you were trying to dislodge something.
    -The flour bin
-Did you reach into a bag of groceries to pull things out?
-Caught in a skein? I know you checked that.

Good luck. I am forever misplacing things. I retrace my steps, and there that “thing” is.

Long time/off and on lurker here. I’m so sorry about your ring. Just two days ago I lost one of my 1/2 carat diamond stud earrings that my hubby gave me and I am sick about it. The thing that stinks is I have no idea where I lost it, so where am I supposed to look?

Anyway, just say no to sugar. It really doesn’t do your body any good, quite the opposite, and you obviously have issues with it or you wouldn’t be trying to give it up all the time. I mean that in the nicest of ways because I have been down that road myself. Just say no!

You are so good at the n o sugar thing. I am starting healthy this week. I’m going to be doing juicing for breakfast (carrot, apple, ginger) and then salad with chicken for lunch, a sensible dinner with a salad and protein and only fruits and veggies for snacks and as much water and/or tea I can drink until I float. I got on my elliptical and it didn’t hurt my knee! So I’ll be starting that this week as well.

I really do hope you find your ring. Hopefully it will turn up soon 🙂
