Health Group- week 30

Good morning! We have a million things to do today, well not really, but we are running late, so I’m going to be brief. This week completely sucked for me. As mentioned in my post yesterday, I have felt awful all week. I have been in no condition to exercise. Unfortunately, I was in no condition to put any effort into eating well either. (How’s that for an excuse?) So, to sum it up, I ate like crap and didn’t exercise during the first week of this new year. On the plus side, it can only get better from here, eh?

So you all will have to be the stars of the show this week. How did it go? How are you doing? Anyone have a stellar kickoff to the New Year?

Stellar kick-off – HA HA HA HA! You don’t even watch football but I appreciate the pun in that! Is Nate watching the game today?

Well, I have 3 gold stars on my calendar this week and I am pretty darn proud of them! I worked out Monday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week – cardio, weights and stretching. I got the stars on the calendar idea from you, Laura – heck I GOT the stars from you! and I am amazed at how cool it feels to stick the silly thing on there.

As for food – much improvement on the water intake and eating was fairly good; I didn’t do anything horrible and I did eat a lot of veggies. A LOT!!!

I’m darned happy! I did have a headache and major sinus issues all week so next week will be better because it is Boat Show season!!!

I just started this week – and I’m pleased to report I’m down 1.5 lbs! still have to add the exercise …

    Yay! Good job!

Well, I do have some success to share this week – I counted points all week and lost 4 pounds! I didn’t expect such a result since I was maxing out my points everyday and actually went over my limit on Thursday… Also, I only exercised twice because of the snow. Just goes to show that writing things down really does help. I’m not doing so well on the caffeine purge. Laura saw me give in and grab a hot chocolate the other night during knitting group. I am down to two mugs of 1/2 decaf in the morning though. If some of you are wondering why I don’t just go cold turkey, I’ve tried that before and it wasn’t a pretty picture. Besides, I think that’s just asking for failure… I know I can’t take the headaches and being irratable (sp?) with my kids. Well, here’s to another week!

I did alright the past week–my water intake is still up from where it once was but I could be doing better. My eating habits have stayed pretty steady–no fantastic but better than they used to be. My weight held steady but I’m actually really happy with that–the slow changes approach is still working for me.

Wow, Katie. Four pounds is great! Keep with it.

Megan- good job. I need to up my water again. I’ve gotten lazy.
