Remote blogging

It’s the funniest thing. Sometimes, because our DSL is stupid, I can’t post. What we’ve discovered with the help of a friend, is that I get wireless network reception on my driveway. It isn’t ours. I don’t know WHOSE it is, but when my computer is down, I can sit in a lawn chair on my driveway and post on my laptop.

Cool.

What’s NOT cool is that the reason I’m sitting in a lawn chair on the driveway right now isn’t because of temperamental DSL service. It’s because last night I spilled water on the keyboard. How lame is that?

Ok, knitalongers, what’ve you got? I know that a certain miss Katie is working on hers. She has a brand-spanking new blog, too. Check it out!

Uta has finished hers! Yay!

I have done a little more on Cable-Eight, but not enough to warrant a photo. I did a little bit on the cable doll dress yesterday, but spent most of the day running errands. Now that I have enough energy to leave the house, I have a heck of a lot to do. I took Veronica to the hardware store yesterday afternoon and bought a bunch of stuff to start growing my wheatgrass in force and start a composting worm bin. I bought a couple of toys, too, like a new set of hand tools (gardening) and a PINK pair of gardening gloves with a rose on them. The green pair was cuter, but I figured if I bought the pink pair, Nate would be less likely to steal them.

I bought a fabulous pair of red gardening gloves a year or two ago, and he swiped them. Now they have holes. I told him what I had done yesterday and he said that the pink itself isn’t enough to dissuade. The rose is what got him. Hehehe. MY gloves. It isn’t like he doesn’t have his own pair, or three.

    My daughter loves your dolls.

She is wondering if there is a pattern.

She’s just learning to knit; but wants to knit herself a doll – one that looks like her (only with purple skin).

    I told her I’d ask.

    Thanks
    Dorothy

I love how your Mac matches your beach chair 😉

Whoever has the wireless must not have a protected and secured….that’s dangerous. Some people like to jsut ride around trying to find wireless networks and get into them and mess things up or whatever. (I had a wireless class a couple semester ago..networking major)

I really wish I had the money to get the yarn for the cable 8. I want to make it for my Mom for Christmas. I’m suppose to be getting an internship, but it’s not paying. So I will just have to try to save up. 😉

Are you and everyone else feeling better??

Hey there! Thanks for blogging about my blog! 🙂 Here it is almost 11pm and I’m finally getting to check my email… I’m still thinking I’ll switch it over to LiveJournal or something along those lines. I’m not too happy with MSN – I realized today that you can’t even submit a post unless you’re a member! Totally lame. Anyway, I enjoyed knitting with you this evening… Hoping to swatch for the Lauralund VERY soon!

I am so happy to have my wireless card working again! I love to sit in bed or on the couch, rather than at my office desk. It is nice you can “borrow” someones, albeit dangerous for them it is happening – however they are safe with you. They must be closeby. I pick up our next-door neighbor’s signal but it is very weak.

I have 4 spare keyboards if you ever need one – if MSFT will fit your MACster?

    So glad you’re feeling better!!!!
