Moving right along

Sleeve #1 is done,

and sleeve #2 is started and cuffed. And no, I am NOT an amazingly fast knitter. Believe me when I say that I literally did nothing else yesterday.

I still maintain that one of my least favorite things about knitting is sleeve increases. They suck. They have to suck, because if they didn’t, the other alternative would be that I’m incompetent. As hard as I try, I never space them perfectly.

I think I’m going to need another skein of the blue (which my LYS still has), and HAPPY DAY!!!!, I found another local yarn store that has the new color of Silky Tweed that I think will be perfect for the “H”. I have a yellow Silky Wool, that is no where near the same thickness, despite what the label says, and I have a pinky/beige Silky Tweed that I was going to try and make work. BUT, there is a new color out now that is a straw yellow sort of color, and Village Yarns has it! I’m so happy.

So I’ll be picking those up today, sometime after my physical therapy appointment.

I’m very tempted to throw a hissy fit.
You’re totally kicking ass on this thing.
Really, I think I’m going to look quite good in this shade of green that I’ll be wearing for oh, the next year or so of my life!!!! (grinds teeth and glares)

Abby is going to look wonderful!! Can’t wait to see what color you choose for the letter.

(huh…you automatically have all the swears beeped out. interesting.)

Well, you know me. I’m a boy scout, so-to-speak.

And yes, I am feeling better, thank you! Not fabulous, but better. Yesterday and today so far are decent.

And back to Hayden… HA HA! I have to make up for lost time. This sweater’s only been waiting a year or so for me to get off my butt.

I’m in awe. I can’t believe how fast you are whipping this out. You are inspiring me – perhaps I should knit one for Nathan!

Not counting Five-Hour Baby Sweaters, I have only finished two sweaters with long sleeves in the past eight years. The two things that I have trouble with are sleeves and necklines. I can’t seem to get the math right to space the increases and decreases evenly. The sleeves end up looking OK, but my necklines never fit.
