Health Group- Year 2, week 19

I have a headache. I have told my daughters repeatedly, and their behavior/noise level has not changed in the slightest. This makes me cranky.

Mom and Steve have left. They’re going to the Maryhill Museum on the Columbia River on their way home. Nate and I love that museum, and now I want to go.

I wasn’t able to exercise this week, other than the housecleaning in preparation for my mom’s visit, and walking all over the Flight museum yesterday. So I have been active, but not specifically exercising.

I am feeling better, although I still tire extremely easily. I think I can be realistically optimistic about the upcoming week, provided I don’t catch a cold or something, to be a good one for exercise.

Of course, I now have two freezers full of ice cream and ice cream cake. So in that respect, I’m doomed.

Well, I went back to the Pool and did water aerobics twice this week. I realized just how much I’ve been missing those classes! I am looking forward to next week. I also have been doing my YBB and more real Yoga. I discovered that Fred Meyer has a fairly good selection of nature music that is fantastic for a meditation practice and I don’t think I spent over $3.99 for any CD. It has been very helpful to add in the meditation to my practice and I believe the benefits are showing.

I didn’t weigh in this week as Fred is back and I am not feeling good, but as I reached the -40 pounds mark last week, I will take solace in that and trust that any bloat I have now will be gone next week. The size 15 jeans I have been squeezing into are getting more comfortable (until Fred anyway) and I am delighted about that. I have to figure out something to wear for an interview on Wednesday, but I’m sure I’ll find something. I am looking forward to going through my old bigger clothes and pitching them. I still wish I could find some way to get things to the hurricane victims.

    Have a great week everyone!

Think of cleaning as very good exercise… I just vacuumed our apartement (I HATE vacuuming), and it really does feel like I got my behind up from the computer chair. 😉

I’m doing OK on the actual exercise front too this week. I missed my exercise group because we were invited to a party in another city an hour’s drive away, but I’m going to ballet class today. My knee has been sore, but I’ll be careful.

My foot feels better and I am in the mood to burn off some calories. I think it was the cheap shoes that caused the problem; they are fine for strolling around the mall but not for real exercise. Luckily, my husband is open to spending some real coin on proper trainers as long as I don’t go over $50. He is the king when it comes to finding good prices on name-brand shoes (black men love their shoes!) so hopefully he can find me a deal on a pair of Asics, which I have heard are very good.

My WW partner has crapped out on me, but I am not going to let that stop me. Since I joined WW 2 months ago, I’ve lost 10 pounds and I haven’t hit a plateau yet. My partner has been coming up with excuses not to go to meetings and walk during our breaks. Fortunately, my husband is willing to take me on Saturdays and I can go back to walking in the mornings. I did this by myself before so I can do it again!
