Nesting? or just a looming party?

Either way, I’m deep cleaning today. I was so tired after running a few errands yesterday morning, I couldn’t even knit, so I just laid on the couch for the rest of the day.

Today, I woke up with some energy, and I’ve taken down all the curtains to wash them. I’m emptying the shelves in the family room and dusting. I’m CLEANING my house, baby! And I will continue to, until about 1 o’clock, when I’m guessing my energy will run out, and then I’ll crash again, spending the rest of my day drooling and staring at the wall.

But at least I would have accomplished something, right?

Crappy pregnancy complaint of the day- Last night, I was too tired to eat, literally, so I skipped dinner (even though I had cooked it). Despite this, I STILL had a heartburn attack around 10pm. What’s up with that? I didn’t even eat!

I was mad.

I’m just about to start my 6th repeat on the Interlocking Balloons scarf. So I’m over half done! Yay!

I suffered from terrible heartburn during both my pregnancies – that’s horrible that you still got it even when you didn’t eat! Something that helped was putting a slice of fresh ginger and steeping it in boiled water, drinking the “tea” afterward. I think ginger is supposed neutralize acid or something to that effect. Hope that helps! Be sure to email me with directions to your Cookie Lee party!

Wow! Clean the house girl! 😉 Hope your crash wasn’t too hard. Get some rest and knit a little if you have the energy 🙂

The heartburn thing is awful and unpredictable. I don’t get it nearly as much now as I did around 20 weeks but it still comes on even without having had a morsel of food for hours. It’s actually bugging me right now. Maybe not the most natural remedy but I’ve relied on Extra Strength Tums on my doctor’s advice. The even label it saying “for pregnant women take…..”

    Have fun cleaning.

Send some of that housecleaning energy over here! I’m not pregnant so I have no excuse for the mess around here. Good for you!

Awwwwwww! Congrat’s on your cleaning – I feel like a slacker, all my curtains need to come down to be washed. The heartburn stinks – I had it very bad with all 4 of my kids and still have Severe GERD – when I was pregnant, I had TUMS in every room, in my car, in my pocketbook etc. (Dr. said it was fine, but please don’t take my word for it, things change) I DO hope you are feeling a bit better soon. Rest and knit 😉

I get heartburn worse when I *don’t* eat. A little food in the stomach is better than none. Also, this might sound weird, but it really works…about a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in a little bit of water actually neutralizes the stomach acid…safe, easy, and cheap. There is information all over the internet about it.

Washing curtains? Whoa. That’s got to be nesting.

    – btw – the balloon scarf looks lovely and soft.

You need to eat at least a little dinner to avoid really bad heartburn. I had it real bad with my second pregnancy with or without eating, but it was worse when I didn’t eat.
