Health Group- Year 3, week 19

I’m not going to talk about last week. It sucked in terms of Health Group.

Anyone have anything?

I’ve made some new plans and commitments to myself for this week, but after the humiliation of shirking the goals and commitments I made last week, I don’t have the heart to get into it here.

It’s so hard trying to be healthy and keep a house going and keep resistant kids going on homework and help out in class at school and feed everyone and carry and care for a baby all day and provide myself with some down time by knitting occasionally, or if it’s been a particularly trying day, just staring at the wall and and and….

On a happy note, we had an acorn woodpecker on our deck last week.

It was SO cool, it made us late for kindergarten.

Unfortunately, I have more to gripe about today. Some of which is knitting related, so if I have time later, I’ll post again.

Sending you a big hug from afar. Hope things feel less overwhelming this week.

Oh Laura it sounds as though you need a night off for yourself along the way somewhere. Dont let yourself get too run down, then you will get sick and you dont need it. Maybe draw up a little roster and give the girls some little activities to do for an hour or so after homework, and cook something the night before that you can just turn on and then you can sit down and relax for a little bit. The woodpecker looks great, we dont get them here so it was good to see on someone else’s blog. How lucky are you to get so many different birds where you live.

I’m popping out of my lurking mode, to say, What a great picture of the bird. Around here (SE Ohio/WV) we call them “wood hens”, or, if we feel like being technical, “pileated woodpeckers”.
And no, don’t talk about last week! “Forgetting those things that are past, press on!”
That’s the great thing about a new day: we can make a fresh start. I hope this week will to better for you.

Wow, sounds *awfully* busy there! I’m sure the grey isn’t helping, energy-wise. Good luck with this week!
