Health Group- Year 3, week 34

Good morning. I had a decent week. Not spectacular, not bad. I exercised Monday through Thursday. Missed yesterday, but today I intend to do both PT and treadmill to make up for it. So far, I’ve done some weights.

I weighed 226.4 this morning, which was nice. I weighed twice, to make sure because my scale is temperamental and it can change sometimes. Like, when I weighed myself 15 minutes later and was 227. Twice. But I’m sticking with the 226.4 thank-you-very-much!

I also measured my hips and waist. Hips were down 1/2 inch, and waist was down 2 1/2 inches from January 20th, which is when I measured last. I am now very happy I started measuring!

My sister is joining Health Group this week, hopefully she’ll check in. She said that her doctor said that if you fill your intestines with fiber in the morning, it blocks fat absorption later in the day. She’s had success with a low calorie, high fiber cereal (don’t know which one) that she has with 2% milk, honey, and half a banana.

I’m still hanging with my shakes, but I thought I’d pass it on to those of you who would be interested.

    What an impressive inch loss. I think that’s a true measure of success, more than the weight, don’t you?

    Welcome to your sister! I’ve been a silent participant since December when I realized if I don’t get busy getting healthier and more fit, retirement is going to be no fun at all.

    I had a terrible week! I slid on the ice twice and on Tuesday I put my purse on the floor of my jeep and when I went to get out, my feet got tangled in the strap and I fell out of the jeep! Most of me hurts, lol.

    This week I hate my scale and I hacked my tape measure to bits.

    Lets see, I weighed myself on Monday at the gym and am at 254. I did 30 mins on the bike on Monday and Wednesday. Skipped the gym on Thurs and Friday.

    Food wise, did not do good at all. My problem is that I take care of the kids durning the day and work at night. I don’t get home till 12:30am. So I am awake from 8am till 1am.

    I am so hungry when I get off work, and will swing by a fast food place on the way home, then go straight to bed.

    Fast food and eatting before bed are not good.

    Normally, when I work out, I dont’ crave so much, as long as I eat beforehand. But on Wednesday, I craved sweets so badly. Ate Choclate Chip Mint Ice cream and 2 Fruit Roll ups as soon as I got home!

    Hello everyone! I am Laura’s sister Annie. Yes it was me who first taught Laura how to knit..Left handed. The lady who taught me was left handed. I still knit that way, but laura relearned years ago. :0)
    So this is my first healh group weigh in. I don’t have a scale – so I can’t weigh in…. But I was very active this week. I stopped smoking cigarettes 5 months ago and started running. For the first week I could only run about 3-4 miles. Now i’m running 12-15 miles a week and walking 9 holes of golf.
    I’m joining health group because after I got married 6 months ago, I put on about 20 lbs! Yikes! I don’t even know how that happened! So I’m eating my fiber cereal (it really helps curb cravings and it keeps me full for hours) I have seen results! I still can’t fit into last year’s jeans – but getting closer! Thanks for welcoming me! Love you sister!
