Health Group- Year 3, week 47

Good morning! I had a good week. Not as fantastic as last week, but it was still good. Which is very good considering I only met my calorie target 4 out of the last 7 days. And this weekend is another doozy. I’m hosting a baby shower here at 11. Tonight I’m going to a pajama/birthday party for a friend, where we’re all supposed to bring our favorite breakfast food to share. There will be donuts.

And I don’t think they’d be interested in my protein shake. What do you think?

Tomorrow is Mother’s Day, and we’ll be at my in-laws for a large, social dinner most likely. I’ll get through it the best I can.

I’m down .6 pounds from last week. I went up a bit after the weekend, and it took the week to get it back off. I’m down an inch in my hips, up a half inch in my waist, and my chest and thighs are the same. However, My thighs look different to me. Those nasty little pockets of pudge just below my butt are smaller, so I’m probably balancing out the loss with growing quads. (I’m doing lunges). In the front I’m noticing a difference, too. There’s a very unattractive line of sag, low on my stomach that is softer. A little less defined. Woo hoo!

I’m very happy I was able to exercise this week. My back is better. My hip and knee are behaving for now. It’s good!

How was your week?

Happy Mother’s Day!

I’m down 2.6lbs this week for a total of 8.4lbs. I worked out 5 out of 7 days.

Congratulations on your .6 loss. Everytime the scale moves DOWN it’s a victory.

As for tonight and this upcoming week- everything in moderation and remember your potential sensitivity to sugar- You are going to do GREAT!

Well its not exactly weigh in day, but I haven’t gained any of it back. If I can trust my scale I have neither gained nor lost. I have gone over 2 times this week, by about 150 calories. but I have exercised, and my abs are screaming at me. So it must be working. I got some new helpful gadgets and am still motivated. We will see what check in brings…

    Laura,
Congrats on the continued success! It feels good, no? I don’t own a scale and the one at the YMCA is broken, so I’m not sure where I am in terms of pounds. I am, however, fitting comfortably into pants that used to leave marks on my tummy and crawl up my behind. And, I got no less than 7 comments from friends and aquaintences in one day about how slim I looked. One woman even said, “you sure are looking svelt these days!” I love that word. . . svelt. At last count, I’d lost 7 pounds. I already feel better in my skin. Yay!

Keep up the good work. Glad to see that something is finally working for you too, and that your back is feeling better as well.

You’re doing a great job! I have avoided the scale like the plague and will until my weigh in on Tues :o) I don’t think it will be bad though…but…you never know. I ate a cookie. LOL. Anyway…I hope you have had a great Mother’s Day!

A few days late, but I’m here nonetheless! I managed to gain .5 pounds by Friday. No clue how, but I’ll live with it. I’ve started walking outdoors (I have a mastiff pup who loves to walk), so I’m hoping that things start moving again.

Hope mother’s day was a good one. Keep up the good work!
