Health Group- Year 3, week 50

I’m exhausted. Can’t talk. I’m going to try to sleep for the remaining hour and a half before the girls last piano recital this afternoon. Their teacher is retiring to have a baby.

Miraculously, I managed to make my weight goal for June 1st, which was 220 pounds. I’d had some really bad eating days, plus I felt like I had been gearing up to cycle all week, so I didn’t think there was the smallest chance of making it. But on Thursday I was 220.4, so I worked hard and on Friday, 220. I’m thrilled.

I’m not 220 anymore. I think I’m 222 today, but the impending threat of cycling has become reality so I’m bloated and feel yucky. Plus, we were on the road all day yesterday to get to the Ben Folds and John Mayer concert and I ate bad, mainly because there wasn’t much choice.

I love Ben Folds. I wish he wasn’t such a potty mouth. He was in full form last night.

John Mayer puts on a good show. I like him even better now than I did before. He’s very funny. I’d say more but I’m sooo tired, I feel yucky, and I’m going to bed.

How was your week?

I’m so excited to go to the show tonight. I can’t wait to see John Mayer :o) I think I love him. I have been eating horribly this week as well….Kyrin and I have decided that starting on Mon. we are rededicating ourselves to our healthy diet choices and exercise. I say Mon and not Sun because…well…I want to have an excuse to eat bad for one more day LOL. I hope you get some rest and are feeling better later!! I’ll be out at the Gorge! Woohoo!!

I’m down -1.4 this week. We must be on the same cycle because mine hit today too. It was interesting though because I knew it was happending so I could really fight the cravings and understand why I was “wanting” something I shouldn’t have.

I LOVED the JM concert. He is really funny and SO very talented. I saw him in August when he was with Sheryl Crow but this show was way, way better.

Congratulations on 220lbs. I know that is a big mental milestone for you!

Hey Laura, Congrates on the 220 milestone.
This is my first real week back on Weight Watchers. I am just doing it the same way I have in the past when trying to get off baby weight. It has worked in the past so maybe if I stick to it, it’ll work this time too.

Ok so here is the basics of my Weight Watchers Diet. I have 18points allowed each day. Each point equals approx. 50 Cal. I also have 5 flex points each day to be used if needed for a total of 23 points. If I don’t need these extra points they carry over to the next day. I can do this for the week but when the week is up I loose my flex points. I can only have a total of 35 flex points per week. (I like to save my flex points for when we go out for dinner or what not.

With that said here is how my week went.
    Sun – 23 points, Mon – 31 points, Tues – 23 points, Wed – 35 points, Thu – 30 points, Fri – 33 points, Sat – 30 points
For a grand total of 282 points. As you could calculate I was over by 37 points. So I went back and looked in my journal and I found 55.5 points on yummy chocolate chip cookies.

My week wasn’t all bad however. I did start doing some weight bearing exercises, which included push-ups, sit-ups, lunges and/or sissy squats.

So my goal for this week is not to eat so many stinking cookies and try to get into some kind of routine with the weight bearing exercises.
