It’s the last week of school for the girls!

I am so excited! My time means a lot to me, and I’m looking forward to the freedom of summer vacation! I don’t have to make meals at any particular time. We can go to the cabin for days at a time. Quite frankly, I want to LIVE at the cabin for the next few months, but that isn’t practical. I’m READY for this BREAK! Woo-hoo!

I know I promised pictures today, and I have one. The funny thing is that I didn’t remember to take the picture until 8:45 last night, so I was lucky to have enough light.

I love seeing the waves in the color pattern. I really wanted it that way, and had the hardest time finding a yarn to do it. I didn’t necessarily need full-on stripes, but I wanted each color band to be long enough to show the waves (like in the pattern picture shown yesterday).

I got to work on it a bit yesterday, but not much. I worked my butt off yesterday rearranging Veronica’s room, moving furniture, (BIG furniture), etc to make room for her bed. Yes, she is finally graduating out of her crib and into a toddler bed. She is very happy. Add to this the laundry and other routine chores and I was beat!

Beautifull colours – my favorite. I had never heard of Noro before surfing the net. And many other things! Blogs, for instance. Now I cannot imagine my day to day routine without checking in to see how things re going. That shawl is going to be special. I gather its wool~, is it not too warm to knit now?

Those colors look so cooling. How perfect for summer.

I hate to admit it , but I am jealous of the time that you manage to fit into the day knitting.

I don’t seem top have nearly the time or at least I don’t prioritize my time well enough for knitting. I am am obsessed with thinking about it though.

The colors in this shawl are beautiful. Will you be the lucky owner of it?

Take care and I hope that you are feeling better.

Yay! Congrats on being done with school. My son just finished kindergarten and there was much celebrating by us parents to be done with the rush as well. Bring on the lazy, knitty days of summer.

    Beautiful shawl!

My kids have been out of school for four weeks and I am loving it. Before I had kids in school, I used to listen to all the other parents gripe about summer vacation and all the arrangements they had to make to keep the kids occupied. Personally I think it is easier not having to juggle my schedule, my husband’s schedule, AND the kids’ schedules.
