Distracted

I keep sitting down to post, and each time I do I get distracted by an email, or something on Google News and then I finish up with that and forget all about posting. Seriously, it’s happened all day so far.

Nate finished reading the Half Blood Prince to me last night at about 1am. So we slept in this morning. I didn’t do any knitting. So I guess it must be that my WIP’s are boring me. When book 5 came out, I spent the whole time knitting my red Feather and Fan shawl, and really enjoyed that. (I don’t think I could have survived Umbridge if I didn’t have something else to do. She was horrible). The funny thing is that yesterday afternoon, Veronica went and got her Kimono and put it in my lap, saying, “Mom, can you work on this now?” It was hilarious. Even then I could only knit one row.

Today is a gorgeous day. Maybe that’s it? Maybe it’s the fab weather and the summer vacation that’s throwing me off?

Now I’m going to change and get my exercise in. I have yet more laundry to do. I spent the whole of last week on laundry, and never got completely caught up. Today is the “official” laundry day, so I’m hoping that if I stay on course today, I won’t have to think about laundry again until next week.

UPDATE– Oh, sorry, book 6 is completely cool. Loved it!

you’ll find your groove. don’t stress over it too much. i know i do the same thing you are doing (why can’t i knit? why can’t i sit still?)

your mind and body are telling you what you should do — so listen!*

*ps – this advice thing is a whole lot easier to give than to take! if only i could do what i’m telling you to do!

Distracted – that’s a really good word. Idiot is another one. (FOR ME!) I bought H6 last night, spur of the moment; I completely forgot I had ordered it off Costco.com. It shipped this morning. Duh! Now I have 2. We didn’t get far, but it was very good!

That was very cute about Veronice and her Kimoni. She is such a Doll Babe.

It’s hot… I don’t know about you, but I become a blob when the temp goes up this much. I haven’t been able to knit the past few days either, which has been too bad because I’ve been sitting inside feeling sick and sorry for myself. Things are looking up though…. I’ve decided enough is enough!

Sometimes ya just need a break from knitting. That’s the way it is with me anyways…maybe I’m just weird.

In my house, the laundry is never ending! I can imagine its like that at your house also.

I would suggest finishing off the knitting WIP so they are out of the way. They are so near their finishing line. I think that the problem with the vcc and c8 is that the material is lovely and everything is gorgeous but you doubt that they will fit comfortable. And this is maybe putting you off finishing them.
I suggest finish – place them out of sight.
You can do a rotation like the cross stitchers do – Monday one, Tuesday the other…
