I didn’t receive much in the way of emails from my synchronized team this week, so you’re going to have to talk to us in the comments today. I know that Katie started a lime green one, hehe, and is going to rip it, but there’s a picture.
And although she doesn’t have a picture up yet, Megan emailed to say she’s working on hers.

I might make another one in the periwinkle color that was going to be Veronica’s kimono, and I’m thinking about edging it with some Handpaint Originals that Olivia bought for a pig sweater that she’s never going to do. As I was cleaning my room last night, the two colors landed next to each other and looked rather smashing, so I thought I might give it a try.
This weekend is our anniversary. #12. I’ll probably do an “anniversary post” on Monday, because as usual for Fridays, I’m in a rush, and that way, I might have pictures if we do something particularly cool.
Oh, and I’ve been wearing my VCC and Interlocking Balloons scarf TONS, and I love, love, love them! So much so that I’m trying to decide what type of big, luscious scarf I can make with the bag of Angora I have in this color, that was a birthday gift from Cher. That’s right, a whole bag. 10 skeins. She rocks.

I planned on starting my hat much sooner, but have been unable to find a yarn that I really like from my stash.
As it is my anniversary (#7) this weekend, also, we’re taking a trip out of town. I love to find yarn stores on a trip, so I’ll probably buy the yarn tomorrow and finish it up on Sunday. I love the hat and am excited to start it!

Congrats on your anniversary! I don’t think I’m going to even get started on Esther. I mis-calculated christmas + extra hours at work + basketball games and practices (dad is coach for one team, which means I have to pick up the slack at home) for two teenagers. And, no, I can’t knit at ball games, I’m too intense of a fan for that;) Maybe next time . . .

I didn’t sign up for the KAL, but I did just finish my hat. I made it for my Mom. I used Moda Dea “Aerie”. It’s a pale blue. It is so soft & fuzzy. It’s a little hard to see the stitches, but it turned out beautiful. It’s a little on the big side. If it doesn’t fit her, I might be frogging & starting over. I loved the pattern! I’ll send you a picture of it next week.

I know I’m a bit late, but the picture of the kids with Santa is GREAT! I loved those days 🙂 I’m so happy you are loving your sweater and scarf, it is wonderful when we make something for ourselves that we actually like to use, don’t you think? I also have the Socks, Socks, Socks book. The girls and I all want the ankle socks with the little snowflake on them. I’m thinking I might make them a tad higher so wear with clogs in winter, I’d hate to cover up the snowflake! lol
I love your Esther hat and hope to make some after Christmas, I am trying to be realistic in what I can manage int he next TWO WEEKS! ugh! I can’t believe how quickly it is coming 🙂
We are having a snow day today, so I’m off to knit a bit.

Yay – congrats on your anniversary! I went to the mall today and found yarn in that cute Japanese store (Daiso) which I’m going to try for Esther. It’s only 30% wool, but it’s red, and I’m sure I can make it for a Christmas gift!
