Health Group- Year 2, week 49

Good morning! This was a pretty good week for me. I found the free weights last Saturday and used them on Thursday which provided that pleasant “you’ve worked these muscles” ache on Friday. Love that. I also did physical therapy on Wednesday and Thursday.

I’m driven by the very short cap sleeves on the pretty dress I get to wear at my sister’s wedding in August. My upper arms have been the least favorite part of my body for a couple decades, so anything I can do to help them out before a very public and photographically recorded exposure sounds like a good idea to me.

Today is my birthday. I’m 31 now. It snuck up on me and I still don’t know what I want. Maybe I’ll knit on that pretty lace scarf and let Nate take care of baby and things? Happy birthday to me!

    So is the the beginning of year 3 of your blog?
    I was all excited to post about weight loss and having to go to the shed to dig out old jeans and shorts to take on our vacation (last week) because everything I have is way too big. Well, I did that…my MIL, bless her heart, believes in dessert. I ate way too much of that. That and junk food, soda and things I have been good about not eating for a long time. I didn’t weigh this morning, but I bet I gained 5 pounds this past week. On the positive, I did swim nearly every day – it was extremely hot and the pool was warm – and did more walking and exercise than I normally do, but all that soda instead of water….there is no way I won this week.
    The small jeans still fit, but they are snug, perhaps I can blame some of it on PMS and bloating??? Oh well, I’ll start over Monday (hee hee). I did buy a 3 pound medicine ball and a jump rope. I used to love to jump rope. This should be entertaining.

    I did a video workout with weights this week and it was satisfying. I think I may do that routine a couple more times next week. Here’s to strong arms for both of us!
