Drum roll please –

image

Poor kid, she’s got no feet.

I’m getting better. It only took 2-3 tries to get her eyes right, and you should see the seaming along the top of the sweater. It’s beautiful.

I’m telling you, these dolls are a kick. If I’m not careful, I’m going to use up too much of Abby’s backpack yarn making clothes for these girls, and I’ll have to buy more. I can’t help it. The colors are great, it’s such a soft, wonderful yarn, it was meant for doll clothes. So, can anyone blame me for not really wanting to give her away tomorrow?

Hopefully, I’ll be getting back to mom’s sweater. Abby has been invited to yet another birthday party, which brings the grand total to FOUR!!! parties this month. Two are girl parties, two are boy parties. The next girl party isn’t ’til Aug 6th, so I’ve got some time. Olivia and Veronica are practically beside themselves seeing all these cute dolls and not having one of their own yet. I’m getting there.

SO, does anyone have a favorite of the three? Any new color scheme suggestions?

How about making a green doll with big teardrop eyes? Then you could do a really cool silver top and pants for it! This one is cute but my favorite is Corrina!

Hi Laura! I sat here, flipping back and forth between the pages, and I decided that I like the newest doll the best! She kinda reminds me of Pippi Longstockings. When you said she has no feet, does that mean you didn’t put black ‘shoes’ on this one? I guess I prefer the pink doll, rather than the cream colored one or the blue one. There’s just something about her that says she’s ready to play! How about a “group” photo of all three of them together? Your photos of your work are all so nice! Great job!

Thank you very much. I thought about a group photo. If I end up with any time tomorrow morning before the string of BBQ’s and B-day parties we’ve got going on, I might. Yes, the shoes and feet are the same thing. It’ll add another inch or so to her legs, which she needs. Then I’ll wrap her up all pretty, and off she goes. The “cream” one, by the way, is actually green, as green is Abby’s favorite color. I was afraid she might look nauseated, but she came off pretty good. I’ve had one observation that she looks like the Jolly Green Giant (and naked, she definitely did) and another that she looked like a martian. They’re all cute.

She’s so cute! What yarn are you using? It looks like Lamb’s Pride, but I can’t tell. I’ve got some DK Plymouth Encore I want to try. I’m going to use a smaller needle and work up a mini version. Time, time, I need more time! By the way, if you get a chance, email me. I found someone who stole your last doll pic, put it up on your site without credit and is swiping your bandwidth. Thought you might want to know.

On this one, I used Encore for the body and hair, and Lamb’s Pride for the clothes. Embroidery floss for the eyebrows and eyes. You’re GOOD! As much as I LOVE Lamb’s Pride, (and I do), I don’t think I could have recognized it on a blog photo. I’m impressed.
Thanks for the other thing, too. I’ll email you.
