Health Group- Year 3, week 35

Bad, bad week.

Sigh.

I’m going to try to do good today, eating my shakes and going for a walk. It’s a beautiful day. Hopefully Clark will sleep well this upcoming week and I’ll feel a little more motivated to exercise.

And I’ll stop eating chocolate. Dove’s dark, individually wrapped chocolate hearts were my downfall.

Regale me. How did you do?

I have managed to lose 4 lbs and have kept it off. Hubby getting me a can of Almond Roca didn’t help a bit! Good for you to survive the Dove chocolate

Double sigh….I did as well or better than expected. I stuck to my eating plan like cheese to macaroni, which is great for me. I’m working to lose weight, increase energy, lower my blood pressure and control diabetes. Guess that’s a big wish list!

Not sure of a weight loss, but I can still button my pants and my sugar level is stable. Guess I earned a C+ this week!

Laura, are the chocolates all gone?

Whoops…forgot: Pat, four pounds is great!!!

Don’t despair, with all the stuff going on last week, you are fine to just think about diet and exercise.

I have not officially joined your health club, but during the past 2 weeks I have been trying to be conscious about what I eat instead of stuffing my face with whatever happens to be in my fridge. I also bought an exercise DVD, have not gotten around to moving my butt as I am hibernating. 🙂

PS I need to lose 60-75 lbs. I am 57 and in perfect health except for the obesity. I want to lose the weight before I develop any problems.

One word: cupcakes. That’s about all I ate this week. Day before Valentines Day, day after and tonight. I’m addicted. Hence no weight loss for this week. Sadly, the Easter candy is out already at the store. Hopefully I can steer my sugar sniffing nose away from the candied egg aisle.

Never despair, Laura: it can be done!
My DH made a chocolate pie and brought me a box of chocolate pecan candy. We’ve each had one piece of candy a day, and despite the pie, I did not gain weight, praise God!
This week I’ve tried to be more conscientious about drinking water; I put a slice of lemon in to make it taste more interesting, the only way I can get it down, seems like.
One small step at a time will win the race.
    Wishing you the best,
    Tiana

Ugh, me too. Too many chocolates, and not enough exercise. I’m going to forget this week ever happened and start over. 🙂

    Hi there Miss Finch!

Just ran across your site because I have just stopped biting my nails and I have printed out a picture of your beautiful nails from June 2005 as inspiration (I wouldn’t want long nails).

ANYWAYS, I have to share with you that I have just discovered green smoothies and if you are a shake-for-breakfast type of person you will love these. My recipe is 4 cups chopped leafy greens, 2 cups milk, 4 raw eggs, 1 bag frozen fruit, and 1 banana for me and husband for breakfast. We’ve been doing this for about 3 weeks now. I feel like I’m finally getting my vitamins, my energy level is up, and my arthritis pains are decreasing.

Well, you know what they say, “None so zealous as the newly converted,” but seriously you should try this!

yup me too. Sorry i’m late on posting! I only ran 7 miles (two days) and played 9 holes of golf. This week is off to a better start though. in the past 2 weeks i’ve lost 1 inch in my thighs, an inch in my natural waist, and 1/2 in butt. Yay! although i feel heavier…. hmmmm maybe my muscles are sore and that’s why. i dunno. But I have started doing 100 crunches and these tedious leg lifts this week. The cruise at the end of April is my motivation – I’ll let ya’ll know if it works. :0)
