Nothing but babies and rest around here

image

This is what I woke up to this morning.

Things are going well. Nights are getting better. I’m still tired, and my neck and back are in sad shape. I hurt more each morning, so I went back to the chiropractor and got cracked today. My neck is sore, so I’m going to put hot packs on it this afternoon. If that doesn’t help, I’ll take a bath.

Nate and I are trying to arrange a date for ourselves so we can go and get stocked for Easter. I’m looking forward to hiding a bazillion plastic eggs in our new, very large house. The problem with this is that the kids will end up getting a bazillion plastic eggs worth of candy, which isn’t a good thing. So we’re thinking about stickers, cheap toys, and other such egg-fillers.

Does he sleep in the bed most nights? I’ve been reading different mama blogs, and there is much debate about sleeping in bed with babies. How is it for you?

Aww, Clark is so cute! And I’ll bet the girls will love some sticker and little toys inside of the eggs, as long as they get a few pieces of candy. I would know; it wasn’t too long ago that I was a little kid 😉 (I’m 15.)

Awwww, that picture is adorable! I wish I could snuggle with him right now. Keep taking care of yourself, dear. As for Easter, the girls will probably also like to find a quarter in their eggs… I like the ideas of stickers and little toys, too. Have fun!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE L-O-V-E LOVE sharing the bed with Andy. Makes nursing at night SOOOOOOOOO easy!

As for egg fillers, my mom used to put pennies, stickers, jelly beans, and puzzle pieces in ours. The puzzle pieces were the most fun, I think.

    He’s so beautiful.

I bought a big bucket of spring foam shapes at Hobby Lobby and used it to stuff eggs for my son at school. They go pretty far, and if you throw in some foam visors or somesuch in the basket, your girls can decorate away!

What a beautiful site to see first thing in the morning… hope it makes all the sickness worth it!!

I got some of those eggs for my granddaughter and I put quarters in some and a dollar in others. She likes to put money in her bank. And you could put coupons like, good for one ice cream cone, or a movie date with just Mom or Dad, or a get out of cleaning your room free coupon.

    The baby is Beautiful!

Some great ideas, thanks! I love it!

For egg fillers, you might consider Legos. You have to assign each child a color of egg–that helps with the older kids always finding more than the younger ones…if they can only pick up their color, they all get the same number (I have about 12 of each color plus a larger sized egg in the same color for each) and buy a Lego set for each child–about 150 pieces.

You divide the pieces up in the eggs, put the directions and any pieces that don’t even fit in the large egg in their bucket.

Once they’ve found them all, they can spend the next hour or so building the Lego. Just give them a solid bucket (not a basket) for collecting/emptying the eggs.

I’ve been doing this for years and even my 12 year old isn’t ready to stop yet!

He is so beautiful! You are all so lucky!!

We also co-slept with our two girls. LOVED it! Like someone said above, nursing was a breeze and we slept amazing! Not too many sleepless nights here! Only when they were sick or something and not too bad then either!

    You are blessed!!

    Heya!

I love Miriam’s color-coded egg/Lego idea!! Which we could execute, but all we gots is a one toddler, a dog, and two cats. The latter are useless w/ blocks. We are anti-sugar in our household do to my PCOS, so we are opting for stickers and small toys as well. I think hair barrettes, ponytail holders, and bracelettes will do the trick as well! (the kid loves to accessorise)

You guys are so lucky to have such a cute bedmate! Our Josie slept w/ us until she kicked us too much at 3 months and we had to stick her in her crib…

    xoxo,

Just catching up in blogland and wanted to send my heartfelt congrats on Sir Mister Clark! Everyone looks wonderful, and I’m so thinking of you as I milk myself at the pump during this graveyard shift!

My mom used to do a cotton ball hunt at birthday parties when we were really little, and then you could trade in say 10 cotton balls per piece of chocolate. You could put some sort of marker in the eggs, then make it a trade in?
